We need to find the hidden idols in our lives that distance us from the path to the Kingdom of God, said Pope Francis at morning Mass Thursday. The Gospel of the day narrates the scribe asking Jesus which is the first among the commandments, to which he replies “The Lord our God is Lord alone!”. Loyalty to God, Pope Francis noted, demands we drive out the idols that are hidden in our personality, in our way of life; that we uncover them.
