Pope Francis on the temptation of triumphalism

We must strive against the temptation of being a triumphalist Church, where the Cross and Jesus are absent. This was the message at the heart of Pope Francis’ homily at morning mass on Wednesday. The Pope reflected on the Gospel passage where Jesus recounts His Passion, Death and Resurrection to the disciples on the road to Jerusalem, prompting an argument among them about who is the most important in the Church.
